What is AACF?
AACF is a non-profit association whose mission is to help members develop and share personal, professional, and technical expertise, and to develop and facilitate innovative strategies that improve the knowledge, skills, and abilities of members, improve their quality of life, and make them more efficient and effective as postsecondary faculty.
Member Benefits
AACF is a vehicle for promoting the value and benefits of contingent faculty, gathering information about the challenges faced by contingents, helping contingents hone their skills, and taking steps to improve their quality of life. In essence, AACF plans to become a means of giving YOU a true voice in your future as an educator. Future activities and benefits may include, but not be limited to:

Why is AACF membership important?
At least one main-stream organization has argued for the past six decades that use of contingent faculty results in low-quality education. That organization annually publishes a report openly advocating that universities avoid hiring contingent faculty. Contingent faculty often are low paid, lack benefits such as insurance, and lack a means of improving their own working conditions. AACF will help members network and collaborate to solve these and other problems.

> Who May Join
Active membership is open to any individual who teaches, facilitates, counsels, mentors, or designs instruction for one or more postsecondary universities, colleges, technical schools, or similar institutions on an adjunct, contract, limited-term, or other non-tenured basis.
> How to Join
Complete the 2007 Membership
Form (you may type the data in then print and sign it, or first
print the form, fill it out, and sign it), then send it with a $30 check
or money order to the address indicated at the bottom of the form. Act
today to become a charter member! All charter members
will receive a membership certificate and card recognizing their role
in helping AACF transform from dream to reality.
